Tenuta delle Rose, Bianco Toscano, Indicazione Geografica Tipica, 2015, white

0.75 l at €9.50

A cuvée made from two typically Tuscan grape varieties: Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia. The wine is characterised by its straw yellow hue with greenish reflexes, its sweet, fruity scent and its refreshing taste. It is best served as an accompaniment to starters and other light dishes, or as a summer “aperitivo”.

Contains the Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grape varieties. Aged in the barrel, it is a vibrant, garnet-red colour and is characterised by light notes of blackberry, violet and tannin. An ideal accompaniment to hearty meat dishes, particularly game and lamb, and to cheese.

Tenuta delle Rose, Olio di Oliva Extravergine

0.75 l at €22

The landscape around Tenuta delle Rose has been shaped by centuries of olive oil production. We have a good 700 olive trees whose fruit is picked by hand in late autumn and taken directly to the oil mill. The olives are cold pressed here to produce the precious “Olio di Oliva Extravergine”, which is bright green to begin with. Analyses regularly yield peak values in terms of acidity and peroxide. Over time the oil becomes golden yellow and is characterised by its mild, fruity, olive flavour. It goes particularly well with salad, vegetables and the traditional “Bistecca alla Fiorentina”. More than anything though, we like to sprinkle this luscious oil with salt, dip a piece of bread in it and eat it off the plate.
