Antique markets in Arezzo and elsewhere
In his Oscar-winning masterpiece “Life Is Beautiful”, Roberto Benigni created a cinematic monument to the Piazza Grande in Arezzo. The square is also famous, however, for the largest and best-known antique market in Tuscany, which takes place here on the first Sunday of every month and on the Saturday before. Here and in the adjoining squares, streets and alleyways, hundreds of dealers offer treasures and curiosities for sale. Antique markets are also held regularly in Florence, Fiesole and Lucca.
